Different places? Yes, different places.
What do you mean by different places? No, my friend, it's not what do I mean, the question should be addressed to God because He is the One who claimed that there they are different places, not me. My assignment is simply to tell you what God has said.

The LORD God declares that Light is a person and a place. That same God declares that darkness is a person and a place. They are diametrically opposed to each other, at war with each other, perpetual enemies of each other, and hate each other. They never mingle nor mix. They cannot co-exist in any way, form, or shape.

That same God declares that YOU are either light or darkness. That YOU are either of the day or of the night. That YOU are living in light or darkness. That YOUR nature and every single intent behind YOUR behavior comes from one of those two natures.

That same God also declares that He alone divided the Light from the darkness. That He alone APPOINTED the angels and humans who will be included in the Light and left everyone else in the darkness.

For those of you who haven't been with Treasure in Every Verse very long that may be a very confusing statement. One may be questioning how I can say something like that with a straight face.

Well, because it's true. What I have learned is to understand the scriptures one must seek out the cohesiveness of the scriptures.

Kevin, what exactly does that statement mean? It means that you must allow the scriptures to interpret scriptures, building one theme upon another from a different book of the Bible.

The Bible isn't a book of collective stories told by various authors. No my friend, the Bible has a single Author who selected certain people to write His story. Hence it is a consolidated historical book written in advance by the Creator who sees from eternity to eternity.

That's what we are discovering today. We will take the Genesis 1:1-5 and show where God gave the full detailed explanation of that passage to various authors.

We will learn the biblical definition of Light, the biblical definition of darkness, why there is various forms of illnesses, and why God allows sickness in children.

It's a scam for the recruiting sites. How else can you explain that a player can be ranked within the top 100 during the offseason then drop after committing to a team without playing another down.

They want the hype of those who have not committed. Furthermore there are 10's of thousands of HS players, it is statistically impossible for them to evaluate every player.

Hello everyone. In today's Bible study we return to Genesis chapter 1 to hear and read carefully what the LORD God spoke clearly through Moses concerning creation and His plan for creation.

I showed you from the scriptures the connection between Christ and God in verse 1.

I showed you what God's description of the earth being formless and void means; wilderness and lifeless. Where did the children of Israel wonder on their journey to the promised land? In the wilderness. What happened to most of those people from Egypt who claimed to be God's people? They died.

Did they die being a believer? No, they were of the earth, the world, and were in darkness hence they died. Did the Spirit of God land on those who were living in the dark raging waters? No, He couldn't find a place to land in the darkness therefore He hovered over their face but they could not comprehend what He was doing nor did they know He was there.

Then in verse 3 the LORD God did something wonderful, He sent light, Christ, into the darkness and God called Jesus GOOD! What happened when the light entered the darkness? There was a separation. Light always separate itself from darkness. Did the darkness separate itself from the light? No, God did. Listen carefully to Genesis 1:3-5 (NKJV)
3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. 4 And God saw the light (Jesus), that it (He) was good; and GOD DIVIDED THE LIGHT FROM THE DARKNESS.

What? Wait a minute! Why in the world would God to that? The apostle John explains that to us in his first epistle.
1 John 1:5 (NKJV) Fellowship with Him and One Another
5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

There's your answer. God will not fellowship nor communicate with anyone residing in darkness. Have you not read 1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV)
9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of HIM WHO CALLED YOU OUT OF DARKNESS INTO HIS MARVELOUS LIGHT.

Now go back to Genesis 1. Look at verse 5. There is a clear permanent separation perform by the LORD God.
5 God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.

1 Thessalonians 5:4-5 (NKJV)
4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.
God called them exactly what they are and did not mince words. One group is light while the other group is darkness. Well what did they do to become darkness? Go back and read verses 1 through 3. They did nothing, they were simply created as the earth formless, TOHO, a total wasteland and void, BOHU, without life or the Spirit of God. That's all. They were created that way by God the Creator for His own purpose and glory. By the way, so were you!

The question is, should there have ever been darkness? No, of course not. Why not! Because according to 1 John 1:5 (NKJV)
5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that GOD IS LIGHT AND IN HIM IS NO DARKNESS AT ALL.

Well that's a problem because if God was there in the beginning all by Himself, from where did the darkness derive? John explains that to us here.
John 1:1-5 (NKJV) The Eternal Word
(Gen. 1:1—2:3)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

It began with creation. God created a world external or outside of Himself. If He is light and everything in Him is light then everything outside of Himself is darkness. The first world God created was external to Himself hence dark.

Since the beginning and until this day God does not live within His own creation. He has visited it in the body of the Man Christ Jesus however Jesus declared that He went back to God outside of this world.
John 17:6 (NKJV)

Jesus Prays for His Disciples
6 “I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have GIVEN ME OUT OF THE WORLD. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.

If the disciples were taken out of the world, where did they go? IN HIM!!!! Okay then where is Jesus? Keep reading - John 17:11 (NKJV)
11 Now I AM NO LONGER IN THE WORLD, but these are in the world, and I COME TO YOU. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.

Jesus left the dark world and went back to the Father taking the disciples with Him. Why would Jesus do that? Because John 17:14 (NKJV)
14 I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because THEY ARE NOT OF THE WORLD, JUST AS I AM NOT OF THIS WORLD.

That's why. Friend there should never have been darkness and in our future there will be no darkness. That's where all this is headed and what a glorious journey it has been, is, and will be. All glory to the Most High God!

Revelation 21:1-4 (NKJV) All Things Made New
1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

All the darkness is removed. Revelation 21:8 (NKJV)
8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

And only the Light of Life remains with the children of Light.Revelation 21:22-23 (NKJV)

The Glory of the New Jerusalem
22 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.
