@princessnyriee@techteach_csub I agree! It’s important for a teacher to know where the students are in the classroom on certain subjects. I think rubrics having specifics can help the students do their best on assignments, and they also can see where they may have lacked on an assignment
@techteach_csub Rubrics help students know exactly what is to be done on an assignment. With a rubric, there is no confusion and if there is, the students can get to the teachers and ask for help. A rubric is a great guide for students to maintain success in a classroom. #EDTE4100Spring2021TC12
@Cdeanda1@techteach_csub I like the idea with using a photo in the presentation! That could be a good visual for the students to really understand the word and context for it
@techteach_csub Prezi could be used to make a slide for vocab and the next slides can be used for definitions and there can be a third slide that has an example! You could also add a forth slide that lets the students make their own example. #EDTE4100Spring2021TC12
@Cdeanda1@techteach_csub I like this idea! I never thought to use google form but I realize having a short quiz isn’t too strenuous and it can help students be prepared for quizzes and to pay attention in class more!
@techteach_csub Kahoot is great because Students compete with one another and it sparks a way for them to pull information that they learned from the back of their minds. Competition brings the best because students want to win and to win they need to pay attention #EDTE4100Spring2021TC11
@princessnyriee@techteach_csub Quizlet would be a good idea! I feel as though quizlet is just like flash cards but easier since you don’t have to make them, they’re already there for you! I think games could really be helpful and more exciting than just regular studying for the students.
@techteach_csub Flipgrid could help students study. The teacher as well as different students can help post a video with vocab or problem solving that can allow other students to learn from them and possibly understand better than when they first heard/did the problem. #EDTE4100Spring2021TC10
@MeaganBeverly1@techteach_csub I like this and agree!! If we let students use their strengths and weaknesses it will not only help them grow, but also the other students because they are learning what to do by observing each other.
@techteach_csub Slides let groups work together and I can have an outline of what needs to be done and each student can choose what they are best at and it lets them help others who may not be as great at that item and they learn from each other their different abilities #EDTE4100Spring2021TC8
@Cdeanda1@techteach_csub Hi Cecilia! I think it’s important to get the kids to have fun, if they are serious all the time they could get bored and that can trigger bad behavior. If they know a game comes in a lesson, they could be more willing to participate and pay attention!
@techteach_csub Sharp Class helps students be aware of what goes on in the classroom. There is also a selection called jobs and giving jobs to students for them to do can help them feel important and when they feel important they have more of an urge to do the right things #EDTE4100Spring2021TC7
@eorenosgarcia1@techteach_csub I really like this idea! I think teachers can be more involved with the students and the students might have more fun putting in their own response if they can just say it and not have to write it!
@techteach_csub Google form can use polls and surveys. This is beneficial because you can ask students where they feel they are at, what they are struggling with and what they feel confident in. When done, the teacher can see the results and see what needs to be worked on#EDTE4100Spring2021TC6
@Cdeanda1@techteach_csub I think Quizlet is a great idea! I’ve definitely used it myself as flash cards because I am more of a visual learner. It can also be an opportunity to ask questions and have the kids be able to see the answers on the their side to see if they got the question right.
@techteach_csub Teachers can upload videos with flipgrid, YouTube, or lessons uploaded through canvas. I think a teacher should use props and objects when teaching a lesson and not just words and PowerPoints. #EDTE4100Spring2021TC5
@princessnyriee@Cdeanda1@techteach_csub I am the same and like having different ways I can solve things. Students can use Khan Academy for anything they are struggling with and they don’t have to feel embarrassed about it.
@techteach_csub Videos are great for students to view material on their own time and pace. Some students learn slower and with videos they are able to learn without feeling pressured. The best way is for the videos to be viewed at home then work can be done in class. #EDTE4100Spring2021TC4
@princessnyriee@techteach_csub I LOVE this idea! I didn’t even think about that. There are so many videos out there that are hard for people with vision or hearing impaired to understand and we as teachers should enforce accommodating them!
@techteach_csub Flipgrid is a great tool for students. I think the best thing about it, is that you can just simply record a response. There is not typing involved as that can be hard for some students who have a hand/writing disability. #EDTE4100Spring2021TC3
