#AIBD2023 or CCYAN or YMCA
So many acronyms at these med conferences, it’s hard to keep track. But these dedicated docs and advocates are dancin’ through it
@Linda20241 and the @CCYANetwork team are absolute leaders in the #ibd#PatientAdvocate space! This poster is a 🌟 example of patient-initiated research accepted for presentation at a national meeting! Can’t wait to see where you go next!
Dr. Marie Borum addressed health equity and inclusion in minority populations with IBD. Her work and passion with engagement in outreach with these communities is amazing 🤩

Missing lots of people in these pics but the @LatinXinBME familia had a great time last week at #2022NDiSTEM. We reconnected, welcomed new members, ate great food, and loved being in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷!

We have to unplug our computers and let them rest to keep them working, and that includes the human brain too! We had our unplugging with a great lunch at T-Yummi, a new Vietnamese place in town! #TakeABreak
In our lab, we study inflammatory bowel disorders. It's really important to us to center patient experiences as we do our work. We believe this is crucial to better understand this incurable disease. #SciComm#CCAwarenessWeek#IBDVisible

Our lab got in the #Holiday spirit yesterday as we said goodbye to November. A couple of us had never decorated a gingerbread house before! Not bad for our first time (and tweet). #LabFamily
We had just one unfortunate casualty 🙃
Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with Karen M. Mancera Azamar. She is most proud and thankful for her hard-working family and all of the mentors that have supported her throughout the years. @kmancera_ @AnaMaPorras #HispanicHeritageMonth
As a PhD student, I was paid more than my parents combined. Leaving them behind made me feel guilty, but it also made me proud that I was able to help. These mixed feelings are something we #firstgen experience throughout our journey.
Join us in welcoming our incoming 2021 Ph.D. class! Looking forward to welcoming you to campus this fall.
Thanks to our grad academic team for making this happen: Krista Smith @Krista_withaK, Kimberly Depue, Dr. Benjamin Keselowsky @keselowsky & Dr. Peter McFetridge!
