Pi clears a KYC logjam for 417,000 Pioneers, with more to follow…

@PiCoreTeam has cleared over 417,000 Pioneers, flagged as possible duplicate accounts, to move forward in KYC. Other KYC checks still apply.

A fix for 497,000 more Pioneers is due this week. Their Fast-Track wallets lack the pi-network:native needed to pay gas fees on migration claims.

Pi has also been trialing palm-print scans for some users facing repeat face checks. Older phones now get wider support for liveness checks, and affected Yoti and Indonesian KIA ID users can resubmit.

After Protocol 27 flips to 27/27 on Mainnet, this is what happens next - in order:

*1. Pi Core Team official post (next 24-72h)*
They always confirm after the chain flips. They'll post on X / Pi app changelog.

*2. Stability watch*
Nodes now running `stellar-core 27.1.0` / `Horizon 27.0.0`. Team watches for missed ledgers, transaction load. Last test was 250 tx per block with zero failures.

*3. Mainnet DEX unlock*
Protocol 27 is the one that brings the *Pi Launchpad DEX* - combined order book + AMM liquidity pools - from testnet to mainnet. That's why you saw COIXA Android launch and those Pi2Team test tokens. Testnet was the rehearsal with SLICE token earlier. Now real Pi can be used.

*4. For you as Pioneer:*

- *Don't do anything risky.* No need to migrate again, no need to enter passphrase on any DEX to "activate" v27. Anyone asking is scamming.
- *Update:* Pi Browser + Pi app to latest. If you run a Node, make sure you're on Docker v27.1.0
- *Wait for KYB apps list.* Apps like COIXA need KYB approval to go mainnet. Until PCT lists them as KYB-approved, they are still test.
- *KYC / Migration still matters* - 18M+ KYC'd so far, but that's your ticket to use the new DeFi features with real Pi.

Protocol 26 forced everyone to update. Protocol 27 is the one that turns Pi from "send/receive" into "trade/provide liquidity/use apps".

You already have the earliest API proof - just sit tight for the official announcement before moving any real Pi into any DEX.
