Ahead of what is likely to be a joyless week here’s a small, perfect French animé about a jukebox by Florentine Grelier. Keep it for when you need it this week.

🚨BREAKING: Women detained inside Delaney Hall ICE facility are being sexually assaulted, and the government is ignoring them.
They say a guard has sexually assaulted detainees, with at least 10 complaints of groping and abuse, and they’re demanding that she is fired.
These women are already protesting spoiled food, unsafe drinking water, inadequate medical care, and being forced to clean the facility for $1 or $2 a day.
Now, it has come out that they’re being sexually assaulted, too.
And while all of this is happening, we’re being told, by DHS, that there’s “nothing to see here.”
This is why people are protesting outside Delaney Hall.
And instead of fixing any of it, the people in charge are busy demonizing protesters, transferring detainees who speak up, and trying to convince the public that none of this is happening.
A heartbroken elderly Albanian man says Jared Kushner has taken everything he spent a lifetime building, including his land, his home, and the future he hoped to leave behind for his children.
He says he returned home one day only to find his property sealed off behind barbed wire, with men in black uniforms standing guard and refusing to let him step inside the house he once called his own.
In a single moment, he says, the life he had worked for was gone.
“It was the end of the world. The end of the world.”
“I felt imprisoned.”
“They took my freedom.”
“They took my livelihood.”
“They took my land.”
The U.S. government just made a land deal with the world's first trillionaire. Not a sale. A trade.
Because apparently that's how we do things now.
715 acres of the Lower Rio Grande Valley National Wildlife Refuge - built by Congress in 1979 to protect one of the most biodiverse wildlife corridors left in North America - handed to SpaceX.
Endangered ocelots. Aplomado falcons. Piping plovers. Land the Carrizo/Comecrudo Nation of Texas has called sacred since long before there was a United States.
SpaceX built a rocket launch site next door. Then came the explosions. Concrete and metal hurled six miles across refuge land. A 2024 study found that after one launch, every single monitored shorebird nest near the site suffered egg damage or loss. The Fish and Wildlife Service's response was not enforcement. It was a land swap.
FOIA documents show internal planning for this transfer started as early as April 2025 - while Musk was running DOGE and threatening to fire federal workers who didn't justify their jobs to him. The agency developed what they called "the most expedited schedule possible" to get it done.
Part of what's being handed over includes the Palmito Ranch Battlefield - the site of the last battle of the Civil War. A National Historic Landmark. Once transferred, SpaceX can restrict public access whenever they want.
25,000+ people submitted public comments. Most opposed the deal. The government moved forward anyway.
A coalition of tribal and conservation groups filed a federal lawsuit this week to stop it. Because someone has to.
Why are we cutting real estate deals with a trillionaire when we could have just made him pay for it?

FTP: LAPD killed her dog. He was wearing his Knicks jersey.
His name was Jameson. A golden doodle. One of the sweetest, most gentle breeds alive.
A neighbor called a noise complaint. That's it.
20+ officers showed up. Then a helicopter. For a noise complaint in an apartment complex.
And they shot Jameson dead. In front of his owner. In front of her child.
No warning. No de-escalation. Nothing.
The media is barely covering this. No headlines. No outrage.
Like it never happened.
If this was your dog... your child watching... how would you feel?
Jameson deserved better. That little boy deserved better. His mama deserved better.
ICE vehicles hit their car while their children were inside. Then agents dragged the parents out during drop-off and a preschool graduation, in front of crying kids. All on school property.
https://t.co/du9bv2U4pY confirms that schools are supposed to be safe places for children, not federal ambush zones.
That’s not public safety. That’s state-sponsored trauma.

Texas farmer donated land for a public park — city sold it to a DATA CENTER for $10M
The Bland family deeded 88 acres as parkland 'for kids to play,' but after several ownership swaps, it was sold to build an AI slop facility
BREAKING: In a stunning moment, Republicans just BLOCKED Sen. Richard Blumenthal's attempt to get Veterans their retirement pay WITHOUT cutting disability benefits. Republicans will write blank checks to the military, then penny pinch when it's time to support our Vets.
Markwayne Mullin looked at 300 starving people in U.S. custody and said they just want “their ethnic food” and can go back to their country to get it.
Worms in the food. Cancer patients denied meds. A senator pepper-sprayed at the gate. A governor turned away. Mullin’s diagnosis: wrong ethnicity.
He’s a racist pig.
Adam Hoffman raped his son’s best friend for 3 years
First-degree felony. Life without parole.
Ken Paxton’s office gutted it to 60 days. He walked free after 30.
No sex offender registration. His record scrubbed clean.
Texas protects predators with power!
ICE deported a citizen born in U.S. to Mexico—now he's filed lawsuit demanding to be allowed back into the country.
"I told 3 different agents that I am American citizen," he said.
"They just called me crazy."
Then they threatened him with 5 prison years for fraud—accusing him of lying to federal officers about his citizenship.
Agents refused to look at his birth certificate or social security card—or even medical records proving born in U.S. hospital.
Brian Morales was born in Denver, Colorado—he was detained as part of a construction crew in Fredericksburg, Texas.
ICE deported him just days later to a state in Mexico that he had never been to—far away from even distant relatives.
He is currently awaiting the outcome of his lawsuit in Aguascalientes, Mexico—485 miles south of the nearest U.S.-Mexico border.
🚨BREAKING: ICE agents were filmed trespassing in a fenced-in yard, with their gun drawn, without a warrant, in Joliet, Illinois.
In the video, a person inside the house starts recording after noticing ICE agents were walking around their property.
One agent can be seen with their hand on their gun.
Then, a second agent walks into view with their gun fully drawn… and briefly points it toward the person filming inside the house, before moving out of frame as the person filming yells, “what are you doing?”
A fenced-in yard is not public property.
Under the 4th Amendment, the area immediately surrounding a home, including fenced yards, is considered part of the home itself for constitutional protections. Courts call this the “curtilage” of the home.
Which means federal agents are not supposed to just roam around inside it without a warrant, consent, or an actual emergency circumstance that legally justifies it.
Then there’s the gun…
Because this wasn’t someone charging at officers.
This was a person INSIDE their own home… holding a phone… recording what armed federal agents were doing on their property.
So, what exactly justified drawing a firearm and briefly aiming it toward the person filming?
What immediate threat existed?
This is the kind of behavior that should terrify people regardless of politics… because once armed federal agents start treating constitutional protections like suggestions, no one is safe.
Rights either apply to everyone… or eventually they stop meaning anything at all.
Half the cost of Trump's Reflecting Pool renovations is being paid for by National Park entrance fees, money that was previously used for park maintenance and preservation.
