Fraudsters beware!

Under the leadership of @GovRonDeSantis, Florida will not tolerate fraud in Medicaid or any other program. Those services are meant for vulnerable populations; not to line pockets. Perpetrators will be terminated from the program or referred for criminal prosecution.

Incredibly lazy by the Wall Street Journal.

1) A tax break somewhere does not mean a tax increase elsewhere. That's a progressive argument to prevent any form of tax relief. Florida runs surpluses and county revenues have nearly doubled over the last 8 years. Local governments can afford to cut spending.

2) Comparing DeSantis to Mamdani is embarrassing. The Governor is not advocating for INCREASED taxes on wealthy Floridians. Mamdani, meanwhile, proposed a 9.5% property tax increase on everyday New Yorkers. The Governor simply saying that Palm Beach billionaires will still pay property tax on any home that is not a homestead.

3) The WSJ fails to consider one of the most important arguments of property tax relief: that it is antithetical to the spirit of homeownership. We should not have to keep paying perpetual rent to the government in order to keep our home!

Today in Davie, I was proud to highlight three additional operations that demonstrate Florida’s commitment to immigration enforcement and public safety.

✔️ Operation Sandhill Sentinel brought together local, state, and federal agencies to arrest hundreds of criminal aliens in South Florida and process them for deportation.

✔️ Operation LOCATE, a DHS and FDLE initiative, has verified the locations of unaccompanied minors who arrived during the Biden border surge and uncovered potential trafficking cases.

✔️ Operation Criminal Return, a partnership between FDLE and ICE targeting illegal alien sex offenders, resulted in more than 230 arrests in 10 days.

Florida will continue to use every available resource to identify dangerous individuals, support federal immigration enforcement, and keep our citizens safe.

Under the leadership of @GovRonDeSantis, fraud in behavior analysis services—or any covered service in Medicaid—will not be tolerated. Providers found to be engaging in fraud will be terminated from the Medicaid program. Where appropriate, providers and individual wrongdoers will be referred for prosecution under state and federal law.
