@joe_tashune@Gilgame48416687 As long that those are the only games in said franchises, honor it but make clear that that's it's. Xbox is going back to exclusives.
@MCDEEZFN That’s possible in theorycompanies can be locked into contracts & face penalties for backing out.But unless there’s actual evidence of a signed Sony agreement and a ,breakup fee, that’s speculation, not a fact. The existence of a port dont automatically prove a contract forced it.
@SS_Anubiss@Gamefantweets If the goal is to grow the Xbox audience, putting Gears on PlayStation does the opposite. Exclusives exist to move hardware and keep players in your ecosystem. Giving away one of your biggest franchises may grow Gears, but it doesn’t necessarily grow Xbox
@Swurv__ A decade ago exclusives gave us Halo, Uncharted, God of War, Forza, and Bloodborne. The benefit was platforms competing to fund bigger, better games instead of competing only on price.
@Swurv__ Exclusives aren’t about celebrating others missing out. It’s platform competition—companies fund and lock games to build value for their ecosystem and justify hardware. Fans get excited because it strengthens the platform they chose.
