A significant milestone for climate resilience in Bangladesh!🇧🇩

The launch of Parametric Cyclone Insurance marks an important step in strengthening climate resilience in Bangladesh. Supported by People's Courage International (PCI), underwritten by Sena Insurance PLC, and implemented with Padakhep Manabik Unnayan Kendra, Shakti Foundation for Disadvantaged Women, and Nowabenki Gonomukhi Foundation (NGF). Together, we're expanding access to climate risk financing for vulnerable coastal communities.

@FSDEthiopia and KMD co-hosted a workshop on "Innovative Financing and Insurance Solutions for Sustainable Livestock Development". A feasibility study was presented on using technology to expand credit and insurance access for pastoralist communities. The findings show potential for digital solutions to improve financial products for pastoralists, considering their nomadic lifestyles, livestock-related risks, and the use of moveable assets as collateral.
