Students jumped into a naming sprint, developing ideas, building pitch decks and presenting their recommendations to Perry Township Schools leadership.
And the official name? Still under deliberation! 👀

The Leadership Academy is a unique opportunity for Perry Township parents and community members to step inside the district, meet our leaders and learn more about how our schools operate. It’s a chance to become a bridge between our schools and the community.
Participants leave with meaningful insight into Perry Township Schools and often become trusted advocates and ambassadors for our district.

The @perrytwpschools is launching an innovation & entrepreneurship learning program with classes at @uindy. A $30 million facility for the program will be built on campus, open in 2028. But students from Perry Meridian & Southport HS begin taking classes at UIndy Wednesday.

We want to congratulate Chris Sampson, Associate Superintendent, on his upcoming retirement this June. We have truly loved having him here and are incredibly grateful for the leadership and impact he has had on Perry Township Schools. We wish him a well-deserved and restful retirement.
We are also excited to share that Jon Romine has been selected as the next Assistant Superintendent of Operations, beginning in July. Jon brings great experience and a strong commitment to our schools, and we are excited to see him step into this important leadership role.

Katie Crouch was elected to the IHSPA Student Board, where she will serve in a leadership role for a one-year term.

Lucy Len Dim was named one of five finalists for Indiana High School Journalist of the Year.

It’s National School Resource Officer Day, and we are grateful for the Perry Township School Police Department.

Jim Hernandez presented Lee with an award in appreciation of his commitment to our students, staff, and the Perry Township community during his time as Board President.
Serving in this role takes time, thoughtfulness, and a deep belief in public education. Lee has led with care and purpose, and we are grateful for the impact he has made.

Cardinal Crunch popcorn, a caramel and churro-flavored blend created by Southport High School business students, is officially on the shelves at Kroger for YOU to buy!
More than 200 students were involved in every step of the process, from taste-testing and voting on the final flavor to creating the product name, branding, and marketing strategy.
This hands-on project is a perfect example of learning coming to life and students seeing their ideas go from concept to creation. Go Cardinals! ❤️🖤
