Bomet County (#036): We had a successful two-day Nurturing Care for Early Childhood Development Multisectoral Review Meeting focusing on strengthening coordination, clarifying departmental roles, and shaping the county work plan. Bomet has an existing food and nutrition policy structure that the MST is leveraging on.
Through the discussions, the team recognized the role of the County Assembly and will ensure synergies going forward. A work plan has been drawn up, with more in the pipeline on ECD-responsive budgeting and resource mobilization, and agreed to align investments with evidence, equity, and impact.
There have been positive steps since the inception meeting last year, with much more needed to ensure children thrive to their full potential. The members reaffirmed their commitments to support Nurturing Care for ECD across departments in the county.
This meeting was coordinated by the Lake Region Economic Bloc Secretariat and chaired by the MST Chair Bomet, Ms Carolyne Terer.
We are proud to be part of the Women Deliver Conference 2026 at Naarm (Melbourne), Australia.
Today, we engaged in the #GirlsDeliver2026 pre-conference,an important platform driving urgency and action for adolescent girls.
This powerful space brought together girls and allies to reflect on progress, identify critical gaps, and accelerate collective action by centering girls’ lived experiences and leadership. Led by the Population Council GIRL Center and Women Deliver, alongside 20 co-hosts, the dialogue emphasised evidence-based solutions to advance the rights and well-being of girls.
From climate justice to AI and technology, and girl-led advocacy, the conversations are shaping a bold global call to action, one that demands accountability, fulfils commitments, and safeguards the future of adolescent girls.
