loved helping this awesome 4th grade group of future content creators. 🎥
they’ll be making videos to help teach different topics and ultimately curate them into a ‘student support resource hub’ that learners can access anytime.
this week we brought VR into learning. 4th grade students studying national parks in class visited different parks virtually and held the grand canyon in their hand with AR.
it was awesome. (sound on) 🔈
so great to have experiences like this. i love to wonder how these opportunities might inspire learners.
Doing a breakout edu was one of the best experiences I’ve had with this group of kids. They communicated, collaborated, and included everyone! ❤️ thank you! @mariagalanis@breakoutEDU
seeing how excited they get when they open locks playing a @breakoutEDU game never, ever gets old. 💙
love seeing them learning how to work together as a team and having fun!
Today we did a goofy game from @kagan. We did not fully understand the rules BUT we did laugh uncontrollably for last 10 minutes of the day. So that’s a win! #classbuilding#sp109#dps109
Our genre challenge JUST started and these kiddos are running with it! They have already earned “badges” for the different genres they have read so far!
This was such an incredible honoring ceremony. The kids learned so much about why we celebrate veterans. A very special day! Thank you to everyone involved! 🇺🇸💕 #spway#dsp109#veteransday
Cooperative Learning has been so fun! We now have team handshakes/names and have interviewed one another. A favorite question “what’s your grandmas name?” 😂 #spway#dps109
This happened! @librarypenguin and I are excited to share that @109SouthPark is the home to an exemplary school library! Thank you, @AISLEd_org, for the recognition! #spway
For admin appreciation this class decided that @mfaust deserved a proud principal award, so they made one! After presenting it to her and seeing her face one kid goes “wow that felt good to make her smile”. 💕 Thank you for all you do! #spway#dps109
We’ve been working renewable and nonrenewable resources in social studies. A few students were confused on the definition and this kiddo took the lead. He made a connection to the simulation we did to start the unit and taught his classmates the idea of sustainability. #spway
