Ju Haknyeon announces legal action against malicious articles + says he didn’t agree to terminate his contract with One Hundred Entertainment:

— “Hello, this is Ju Haknyeon.

Despite having clearly stated that I have not engaged in any illegal activities, I will take all legal action, both civil and criminal, against certain reporters and media outlets who continue to write malicious articles.

If there is any evidence that I engaged in prostitution, please release it immediately.

Furthermore, I have not withdrawn from the team, nor have I agreed to the termination of my exclusive contract.

Even though there are no grounds for contract termination explicitly stated in the contract, my agency is trying to fabricate such reasons.

Some media outlets are also harming my reputation by mentioning prostitution without any basis.

My agency demanded over 2 billion KRW in compensation and told me to leave the company, but I have never accepted this.

Despite this, the agency informed the media that the contract termination had been finalized. This is a clear falsehood.

I want to ask if unilaterally expelling me from the team and coercing me into contract termination by citing over 2 billion KRW in damages, simply because I was present with a famous person at a private gathering, is truly the attitude an agency that should protect its artists ought to have.

When I did not accept the contract termination, my agency unilaterally sent a certified letter, ignoring the procedures stipulated in the contract, implying that the contract was terminated due to my fault, and even issuing a warning about damages.

Honestly, I'm very scared.

However, I felt that if I gave in here, this society might become a place where people with nothing can be ruined for things they didn't even do.

Up until now, I have quietly endured, believing that the truth would be revealed. But in the face of attempts to bury me under the pretext of things I didn't do, I felt that I could no longer remain silent.

I intend to hold the agency accountable to the end for unjustly expelling me from the team and asserting contract termination without any basis.

I also intend to hold some media outlets accountable for mentioning prostitution with unconfirmed facts and causing me harm.

Whatever happens, I intend to go to the very end to reveal the truth.”
