The recruiting and development process is not a straight line. It’s going to come with ups and downs — for you and your son.

There will be weekends when he looks like the best player on the field… and others when he struggles to find a hit. Scouts will show interest, then go quiet. Rankings will move up and down. Confidence will rise and fall.

That’s all part of it.

What matters most is that he keeps showing up. Keeps working when nobody’s watching. Keeps being coachable, accountable, and resilient.

Your role is to support, not stress. Remind him this is a marathon, not a sprint. Help him focus on growth over results, team over me, and the long-term journey over short-term frustration.

If he does that, the right opportunities will find him. ⚾️🙌
