Another thing is its juxtaposition with kos. Kos is pure white, humanish face and has a connection with the ocean. Moon presence lacks a face, is pure black and is related to the moon instead. Its not much but its there
Most soulsborne final bosses go for a more emotional final boss fight (gwyn, aldia, elden beast, and probably the others but i aint played ds3 or des yet) but the moon presence isnt… its just weirdly tense? Like if you arent strong the fight is hectic and really weird-
>hardest tutorial boss theyve made (good thing btw)
>outside leyndell enemy
>mandatory boss
>in his death he guides his father to fight you
>tutorial nightrein boss which you probably die to
>random event boss
>2nd night boss with judgement cuts
On some real hater shit
Also its colour is so striking i guess? Others like kos, ebrietas, rom and amyg are lighter toned? With the first two being almost pure white using blue magic whereas the moon presence is pitch black with red accents on its tentacles. And i wont even talk on the chalice version.

Which is done once before. I know im ranting but the moon presence is just so… weird? Even for bloodborne because like other great ones or kin have multiple eyes ( rom, ebrietas, amygdala ) whereas the moon presence lacks them entirely? Isnt that a bit strange no?
