@SCarter1516@BenStiller JVG literally threw himself into the trenches and mid fight to protect his players.
And Ben isn’t even saying he should get physical… he’s saying he should have his back. That means not hugging the opponent after a dirty play & not excusing it after. Pathetic
@ZuckermanRoy@ayeefkay@KnicksMuse Nahhhh he wasn’t done. Dude developed a post game and could still put up points. He had some important moments for us that season. But Melo did work at the 4, so in this lineup you’d want Amare getting reps as backup 4 and backup 5.
@NetsMuse@joshhart There’s no shame in playing behind a dpoy level center in Mitch and the move was predicated on a need for rim protection and size next to KAT (not due to performance challenges by Hart). Hart still played starters minutes from the bench too. What else you got?
@LegionHoops@VinceGoodwill Nahhh… I’m a huge fan of Thibs and what he’s done (didn’t want him gone). But there’s no way I’m buying a “Dolan-led” narrative. This came from the players. It possible Dolan created space for them to be open (and supported their POV). Good on him!
@EatMyKabobs@joshhart You’re the not the type of fan he’s commenting about. There’s a huge difference between criticism and actual hate — and he’s no doubt seeing tons of both.
@thof727@yousomelo@TownsMuse@Dmones7290 Exactly. There’s no way to get starters under 35mpg without running bench heavy lineups. Another related challenge is that our bench doesn’t have much versatility with 3 guards and 2 centers (Precious can play the 4 too but still)
@ctrlnarrative@7PMinBrooklyn But what was the alternative? If Knicks didn’t trade for Melo, BKN would have to pair him with Dwill/Lopez. Is Melo saying he wouldn’t have resigned with BKN (pretty sure I heard him say on his Pod that he would have been OK with BKN too)? So there was no choice…
@matthillman_ Has Jalen actually used the gametime app (he said he likes to use that one pick your section feature in the ad but… seems a little far fetched)
@ThrowSumDsOnIt8@KnicksMuse You’re right… I can’t see Thibs benching Josh though. That tells me we start Deuce and then bring Precious in for iHart. Then take Josh out when we bring iHart back. Then Josh comes back in for Precious I guess?
@Justin_Albers@KnicksMuse Blaming the refs? Take a look at G3. They called a block from Turner on Hart that should have been a goaltend. The foul Indy challenged that got overturned had a clear foul earlier in the play that didn’t get called. The blocking foul on Brunson was a charge. Just in last 2m.
@mcgovern_bob@NBA_NewYork I was there. They didnt blow any whistle after the dunk so play continued on the other end where we scored. Thats what the cheering was. Having said that, there was a “na na na goodbye” chant after he walked off, by some, which was in kind of bad taste imo.
