It's in our humble opinion that Knife River has taken on the status of "passion project", as the idea for our documentary began forming roughly twelve years ago. We appreciate the highlight from Lake County News-Chronicle and Duluth News Tribune! #Duluth#NorthernMinnesota
As reported by @BBCNews, the mysterious 'hovering ship' was only recently sighted and photographed off the coast of England, but we had our own "paranormal occurrence" on #LakeSuperior during the summer of 2019. Originally published @kniferiverdoc on Instagram. #TheTruthIsUpThere
This is funny if you know Duluth firefighters rescued 26 anglers who became stranded on Lake Superior off the Endion neighborhood late Tuesday morning when the ice cracked and shifted. It’s funny because of that.
Following somewhat of a blustery afternoon, the evening turned out to be mostly quiet and calm, with temps steadily dropping. It’s looking like tomorrow will be less than zero degrees — these are the times when we’re reminded why we love Minnesota so gosh darn hecken much.
Huldrefolk Trail — Something has emerged in the woods surrounding Knife River. Climb into your winter gear and prepare yourself for an unforgettable journey. Along the one-mile trail, study the lives of Tomten, Trolls, and engage in nature-friendly activities. Now until Jan 1.
There are advantages to shooting on a Bolex, such as the compact nature of the camera, naturally no batteries due to the spring-wound clockwork power system, the mindset of planning shots down to the second, and making silly videos for the internet, of course. #16mm
20 to 30 seconds is what we’re afforded with one full wind on the Bolex. Needless to say, when a single one-hundred foot roll yields approximately 2 minutes 47 seconds worth of 16mm motion picture film, our cinematographer is winding often. @Kodak_ShootFilm@mnfilmtv#MNFilm
Our trip last week was less focused on the doc and more focused on recharging before we head into a busy season back home in Mpls. Part of this included taking a drive up the shore. The colors were spectacular. We will return to the Knife River in 3 weeks. #SplitRockLighthouse
