J Dilla's custom synthesizer, donated by his mother. @NMAAHC builds a forward-thinking collection to tell stories of recent #HipHopHistory.

[Kathryn Knight @knightlibrarian]

@cm_harlow Definitely the ontology, but I'm also curious about the app (pros, cons, gen. observations)

[Kathryn Knight @knightlibrarian]

Anyone out there in library land (or anywhere land) work with VIVO at all? Thoughts, probs, observations? DM is cool if you prefer.

[Kathryn Knight @knightlibrarian]

@cm_harlow @annaneat @erik_radio +1+1+1!

[Kathryn Knight @knightlibrarian]

Q4: I'd really like to move away from OpenRefine, though, to work with super huge datasets (patent data, ex.) #mashcat #dlfaig

[Kathryn Knight @knightlibrarian]

Q4: python, local recon using CSV and OpenRefine, using regex function in MarcEdit (easy to map tab data/import/export) #mashcat #dlfaig

[Kathryn Knight @knightlibrarian]

Q3: working on getting internal repo, connecting it to our disparate systems. So, data cleaning all the things. #mashcat #dlfaig

[Kathryn Knight @knightlibrarian]

@cm_harlow absolutely- I can't rely on LOC, etc. for ID auths. Working on building something internally that tracks mult IDs #bourbon #mashcat #dlfaig

[Kathryn Knight @knightlibrarian]

Q2: helping our science community (auths may not have "authority", are relying on ext DBs to verify pubs) #mashcat #dlfaig

[Kathryn Knight @knightlibrarian]

@cm_harlow Unreconciled author names, unique IDs in notes fields (sometimes in quotes), + new data that has no place in a MARC record #mashcat #dlfaig

[Kathryn Knight @knightlibrarian]

Q1: I've got a mush of old catalog data and data that I pull in from elsewhere, plus data from other int systems. #mashcat #dlfaig

[Kathryn Knight @knightlibrarian]

@cm_harlow hello hello hello!
