So many people have had beautiful things to say and post online about dear Fr Hasson. Isn't it a pity, though, that our priests often have to die before we say how much we love and appreciate them? Priests need our affirmation and support, don't be afraid to say 'thank you'.
Sad news that Fr Eugene Hasson, parish priest of Drumragh (Omagh), died last night. He was aged 70, and died peacefully after an illness bravely borne. Fr Hasson has served as a priest for over 45 years - many of those years of ministry spent in and around the Omagh and Killyclogher area. He death will be acutely felt. May he rest in peace, and rise in glory.
Gaza’s tiny Christian community is amongst the most vulnerable in the world. They have been overjoyed that the leader of the Church in the Holy Land, Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, has been able to enter the Gaza Strip to be with them. Please pray for them.
