@joninashby Thanks for the support! 2nd edition has a two sided game board with variant map illustration, custom wood tokens, a color box insert, engraved dice, printed hex markers, engraved dice, a 3rd player mat to track events, etc. Basically, it is a Deluxe version of the same game. 😉
@GambitoBSK@Gixmoso@Igael2611@Musambay33 Hello, the question mark symbol on an event card indicates it is an "Alternate Event" card from the Expansion pack. Those cards have less damaging effects versus the original events.
Hey Sarah, thanks for all of the help and mental support over the KS campaign! I am excited to get all of the backers their copy of the game! I think this is going to be a great game for us.
Look what I got in the mail! Dragon Keepers designed by Vital Lacerda and his daughter Catarina, published by @knightworks. I'm really looking forward to playing and seeing how many dragons I keep! 😊
In this telling of the First Punic War the consular armies are defeated by Hanno at Agrigentum in 262 BC.
Replacing these lost legions prevents Rome from dedicating resources to fleet building allowing Carthage to pillage Italy into submission

I adore the asymmetry that emerges in #HandsInTheSea
Despite identical actions & similar decks, the Carthaginian’s play very differently.
Harrying the Roman war machine with hit and runs, pillaging and raiding incessantly to finance the war and keep the initiative
@knightworks
#PacifiCon Highlights:
@HBuchanan2 vigorously defends his Carthaginian possessions in Sicily and Sardinia in a neck-and-neck game of @knightworks' 'Hands In The Sea'. @HBuchanan2's a real gamer and my fave raconteur of the con. Much obliged, H. #Syracuse4evah
3x the expensively assembled #Roman fleet is defeated by the smaller Carthaginian navy.
Enraged by naval shortcomings; planks are strapped, legions packed, and Rome’s furious crows feast on their salty enemies to end the #FirstPunicWar#HandsInTheSea@knightworks
#HandsInTheSea 2nd Ed is a shinning example of considerate game design & production. No trace of authorial arrogance. The excellent player companion hints at the many sacred cows sacrificed in service of the player experience.
Well done @knightworks
Our friends up in Denver, @Mrbgames just launched an awesome civilization game called, "Hellenica: Story of Greece" by Scott DeMers. I find the ability to play the game solitaire and add AI players using a deck of cards fascinating! Check it out here https://t.co/ltWukDJzCb
Thanks Judd! I have been trying to fight the tide of KS changes that have been coming. It has gotten much harder for a small fry like me to make headway. 😉
Bigger publishers that can throw tens of thousands at a KS campaign (before hand) win. https://t.co/Y7mYw4RmDJ
HANDS IN THE SEA by @knightworks uses mechanics similar to A FEW ACRES OF SNOW. Hands, however, takes the system several strides further and does an amazing job of CONSIM 1st Punic War. @playersaidblog @LowPlayerCount @consimworld
