couldn’t help but giggle at this bc I got into mcr at 10 (nearly 18 years ago, 2007) and i was considered a newbie who didn’t know enough about them. no hate to the op just funny that the fandom hasn’t changed at all
that fiber artistry and lacework and “women’s work” are what led to the invention of computer programming is so incredibly beautiful and makes me cry whenever i think about it
Fun fact about Barbara Kruger is that she never said a word publicly about Supreme very explicitly stealing from her until Supreme sued someone else for stealing and hilariously wrote that the person they were suing’s work was “too similar to Barbara Kruger” in the lawsuit
green washing is rife in the fashion industry, but there are lots of good resources out there that are easy to find. it’s also important to factor in human, social and economic sustainability in your choices; as well as environmental. they are just as important.
as someone who specialises in sustainability pls don’t listen to posts like this. it’s incredibly reductive, sustainability is complex with many factors. eg., processing bamboo can be way more harmful than a closed system rayon. educate yourself, make the choices you are able to
