it also shows a laziness in research on the "designers" behalf. They didn't care enough to master the fundamentals before trying to profit.

@LoriDolan why not make up abbreviations? Because unless it's for a stitch you created, most standard stitches already have names. The issue is when designers make up a new name for an existing stitch, it's confusing to all.
