F1 warns resale tickets for London O2 event will not be valid
– Tickets for F1’s first-ever livery launch event, set to take place at London’s O2 Arena on February 18, 2025, sold out in just 45 minutes due to overwhelming demand.
– The event marks the beginning of Formula 1’s 75th anniversary season, with all 10 teams launching their 2025 liveries together. It will also feature all 20 drivers and team principals, offering fans a first glimpse of the grid for the Australian Grand Prix on March 16.
– Tickets, priced between £58 and £113 plus booking fees, were in high demand, with some fans waiting for hours before the ticket window opened.
– Soon after tickets sold out, listings appeared on resale websites, with some priced at over £1000.
https://t.co/rhdMV3qx5m reported:
“Conversations between F1 and The O2 also led to the realisation that some of the tickets on the resale markets were for seats that do not exist.”
– Formula 1 issued a statement warning fans against buying resale tickets:
“We are aware that a few tickets for our season launch event at The O2 have been listed on unofficial resale websites.”
“We can confirm that this is against the terms and conditions of sale and that any tickets bought through an unofficial resale platform are not valid for entry.”
“Working with The O2 we have also identified that a number of the listings are fraudulent. We advise all our fans to only buy tickets through https://t.co/dVssIOpS2i or via AXS Official Resale.”
– Unlike many high-demand events, tickets for this immersive evening, labelled F175, were not subject to dynamic pricing. Despite this, F1 and The O2 have taken a firm stance against third-party resale platforms to prevent fraudulent activity and inflated pricing.

Once again, poor pitwall decisions led to McLaren putting their drivers in unacceptable positions of having to make the calls for themselves on track. Don't want Lando in the lead, don't give him the undercut. A wholly unnecessary mess. The team has to get itself together.
