Here you go kids, when the social media ban kicks in, watch this instead. Didn't do your parents any harm, we hadn't a clue what was going on but we can still sing the theme tune
The Flashing Blade (1967). The historical French children's drama set during the War of the Mantuan Succession - that's what the kids want!
It was recut and redubbed by the BBC in 1969 and frequently shown throughout the 1970s.
@ni_wrn@ClaireHanna@ForWomenScot Difficult to comprehend why Claire would do this, as a Mum of 3 girls. It is so disappointing to see so many female leaders of left leaning political parties actively working against the interests of women & girls whilst promoting themselves as feminists. Worse than the blokes.
Ooof. I do hope my namesake collates her magnificent body of work into a book some day. I for one would happily pay good money for a jolly good read in which various people have their arse handed to them, with such beautiful mastery of the English Language ππ€π
Yes. I now think we were always wrong to turn that blind eye: other womenβs rights were never ours to give away, and we didnβt pay sufficient regard to the absolute entitlement of every woman to privacy without having to explain why it was particularly important to her.
Need to pin this very accessible explanation from the mighty @akuareindorf because, for all her brilliant legal expertise, this pretty much sums it up!
This is the greatest video Iβve ever seen. No notes. The lifeless clanker carcass just laying there. No crowd reaction, anything. Just Billie Jean. Until its lifeless shell is shamefully dragged off. Purely amazing.
"No, I don't subscribe to this 'kindness' - I'll tell the truth instead."
I spoke at the Cambridge Union last night about LGBs, children's safety and women's rights. Full video here:
@SeeRedWoman1@OsteopathTish Yup, the comments & behaviour of one of the party leaders/ministers in relation to both issues is simply impossible to comprehend. Credibility out the window.
@EoinTennyson I witnessed the behaviour of officers & reps of @allianceparty at #LetWomenSpeakBelfast so I'm well aware of the misogyny your party is capable of. That's my lived experience, as a woman who voted Alliance until that day
@PMcReynoldsMLA some advice, go to M&S stop, look at the bus schedule, look down the road & figure how many taxis could pass that spot before another bus came along. & then look down at the obvious road damage that the Glider is causing. Happy to chat.
