anybody who says that namseok did nothing wrong and should be freed from the apparent 'abuse' they are facing. THEY BUILT THEIR OWN IMAGE AROUND IT AND USED ITS THEMES IN THEIR MUSIC. they are the ones who have set this standard, it is not something we are projecting onto them.
that’s right, you can’t spend years building a relationship with your audience around “we hear you,” “your voice matters” and “we’re connected” and then act surprised when that audience expects to be heard.
The intimacy that made BTS so powerful also created expectations.
That’s how relationships work.

if you want to live in your safe bubble and ignore every issue around you, good for you. stay silent, hide in the back. but don't hate on people that don't want to look at the world through pink glasses and are brave enough to stand and speak up when something is bothering them
His career was built on playing the socially conscious one until his income was stable.
break the patriarchal pack! bts please acknowledge your fans and release a statement regarding the chris brown/usher concert

Being " irritated " about seeing a sign just saying that we’re against abusers just because you wanna live in your perfect bubble and not want to be confronted by uncomfortable subjects is genuinely odd.
for the girls taking signs to concerts im SO PROUD, protesting with signs is not for enjoyment, is information, communication and resistance so THANK YOU for using your words like this, you deserve to be heard

it’s so disheartening to see how some of you simply cannot comprehend the fact that there are people who actually care about women’s rights without it being performative or an excuse to hate on men
Three times: 134340, Love Maze and now HOME.
Out of their entire discography, three songs connected to Bobby Chung have now been performed during the middle of a controversy they have refused to address. BRAVO, guys 👏🏼
You can’t ask people to ignore the pattern when the pattern keeps repeating.
At what point are we supposed to stop calling it a coincidence and start asking what the hell is going on? Because this is deeply disturbing.

“Separate the art from the artist.”
But can we be honest about sth? As ARMY, we’ve spent years doing the exact opposite with BTS.
We constantly connect their music to who they are as people: their struggles, their values, their growth, their experiences. We talk about how humble and genuine they are, how they came from nothing, fought through adversity and grew together. Their story is part of why we love their music and why it means so much to us.
So how can we suddenly separate BTS from their art when sth about their choices makes us uncomfortable?
We can’t use their personal journey to explain why their art is meaningful when it reflects well on them, then disconnect the artist from the art when it doesn’t.
That isn’t separating the art from the artist. That’s separating the artist from the parts we don’t want to confront.

the tattoos aren't an apology they're more of a tribute to the fans who continued to defend/support them even when they were wrong what makes it disappointing is that their focus seems to be on rewarding unconditional loyalty rather than acknowledging the hurt their action caused
