The @FDNY Incident Management Team has officially assumed command of the Castle Fire (Umpqua National Forest, OR) from California IMT3, following the successful handoff of the Hay Creek Complex to local authorities. More information to follow, please also see our Meta posts.

At 6 a.m. today the @FDNYIMT assumed command of the Hay Creek Complex. We would like to thank Northwest IMT 10 for their hard work and dedication over the past two weeks.

On March 29th, the @FDNY IMT integrated with the Honolulu IMT. Working alongside the Hawaii National Guard and local agencies, the team began managing debris removal, including dredging debris from the Kaukonahua Stream and clearing mud accumulations after flood waters receded.

The @FDNY Incident Management Team has been activated after receiving an order to relieve the Northern Rockies Complex IMT on the Lee Fire in northwest Colorado. They will assume command Monday morning after shadowing the Northern Rockies Complex IMT today.

The @FDNYIMT continues to assist with the recovery efforts from Hurricane Helene's impacts on Asheville, NC. The IMT is working out of Buncombe County, where the team is now focused on managing the distribution points for food and water, shelters and community reception centers.

Early this morning thirty four members of the @FDNY Incident Management Team started en-route to western North Carolina. The team is heading down under an Emergency Management Assistance Compact order to assist in the response and recovery efforts related to Hurricane Helene.

The FDNY's commemoration of September 11 spanned the country. In Idaho and California, more than 45 members of @FDNYIMT are operating at two separate wild land fires. Wednesday morning, each team marked the 23rd anniversary of the attacks during their morning operations brief.
