Did you know in the 1870s, John Grey Vesey Porter opened up 'Knockninny Hotel'. He commissioned Belleek Pottery to design & produce the tableware. We think 4 plates are still in existence....does anyone have any information on them? @ECMFCM

Mr. Thomas Maguire, Omagh, who ordered the stone , is an ancestor of the family. The headstone bears on its face the arms of the Maguire clan, including a running deer, a salmon, a galley, Knight and the Red Hand of Ulster.

23-3-1946 - FermanaghHerald. UNIQUE HEADSTONE ERECTED IN KNOCKNINNY GRAVEYARD.
One of the most interesting headstones in Co. Fermanagh has just been erected in Knockninny graveyard by Messrs.Carr, Sculptors, Dungannon. It is entirely in Irish and commemorates @ECMFCM @DiscoverNI

Cuchonnact Mor Maguire, Irish Badhbha, Loch Eirne (1698), Cuchonnact Og Maguire (1749), (Eamon Mor Maguire (1747), Eamon Og Maguire (1782-1847), Eoin Maguire (1825-1872), and the latter’s children, Eilis (1910), Francis (1920), Peter (1926), Eamon (1927) and Padraig (1936).
