There’s such an odd flaw in derivative projects. The same thing that brings initial value, (linking with a larger brand) is also the thing that limits it, at a certain point.

(I have direct experience of this, I’m not trying to shade any other projects here)

It’s harder to sell originality here, but it’s so much more fun, and rewarding. And I think the potentials are so much greater.
