@PhilsTailgate Radio guys said Wheeler is scheduled to start Sunday. If they’re clinched, just a quick appearance. If season on the line, a full start that would rule him out of the Wild Card
@RayMoffo Minors have a different CBA and played during the last lockout, no? Just players on the 40-man prevented from playing. You’ll just see AAA games televised instead.
@HuckPalmer@Alexcoll_ That’s not exclusive to the Dodgers though. The large majority of prospects moved make little MLB impact on their careers. Baseball America ran a story last week that looked at all the deals in the last 10 years, and only about 30% resulted in a 1+ WAR MLB player
@LesBowen I just spoke to the Phillies on the phone for about 40 minutes. They are in good spirits and recovering from a fall during the All Star break. They should be back anytime now.
To me the Phillies have 2 options at the deadline: Go all-in, trade the farm and make a huge swing at this season, or stand pat and blow it all up in the offseason. The farm simply isn’t deep enough to try and make enough moves to fix it all now and hold onto top prospects
