@BasedMikeLee Uniforms are worn when they're necessary for the job. You guys are just part time office workers. There is no uniform necessary for that kind of work.
@SnApz21111269@jesterjupiter @9thHoleBourbon @StacyCaySlays Do you really think trans folk are altering their DNA? Wow, if you think they have that kind of power, itβs no wonder youβre scared to death of their mere existence. π
@goodoo_dr@hankgreen Who (besides you) said anything about praise? I just find it exceedingly strange to consider one's own desire to see other people's past content to supersede the content creators' choice to revoke access to it, for whatever reasons are important to them.
@goodoo_dr@hankgreen Do you think you have the right to judge and consume other people's lives, whether or not they consent to share it with you? Because that would be deeply weird.
@goodoo_dr@hankgreen Everyone has the right and the ability to grow and learn and change. Everyone does NOT have the right to have unrestricted access to other people's growth processes. Some people are comfortable sharing their growth process w/the public, and others are not. Both of these are okay.
@onelegman@TizzyEnt@lamarrichards_ They should be grateful not to be murdered for purchasing items from a store and not even leaving the store? Are you ever grateful for that?
@JenResistedAGN@wcjames63@chrislhayes Unfortunately, there seems to be no effective oversight over the Supreme Court. We are apparently supposed to take on faith that they are incorruptible angels. π€·
@amstuart1994 This is a little disingenuous, since tanker cars are not built to withstand large pressure differentials. Deep water submersibles are purpose-built to handle exactly those conditions. It still may have imploded, but not for the reasons these tanker cars imploded.
@Stacyseven@SeditionHunters@wusa9 Saw a mention of him in an NPR piece. Apparently, he's become even more of a True Believer while incarcerated, and he turned down a plea deal that would've gotten him off with time served because he "doesn't negotiate with terrorists." https://t.co/rwWNSjs8sh
@LeftBower@KevinSabellico@j_blue_advocacy I don't understand. Why would Jesus' family have celebrated his birthday? At the time, birthday celebrations were considered "pagan," and would not have been part of Jewish family life.
@LeftBower@KevinSabellico@j_blue_advocacy If we want to be technical about it, Christmas as we currently celebrate it in the West got a little traction in Central Europe in the 1600s, but didn't really take off until the Victorians started replacing the debauchery of 12th Night with the piety of Christmas.
@KevinSabellico@j_blue_advocacy We didn't invent Christmas. We borrowed from pre-existing Yule and Saturnalia celebrations and wallpapered over it with a story from Scripture that actually took place during late Spring.
@SteveHeimberger @RepAdamSchiff Fiduciary duty and price gouging are not the same thing. There's been too much market consolidation; we aren't operating in a free market anymore. Either companies need to be split up to increase competition, or they need to be discouraged from price gouging via taxation.
