Every poll leading up to the election had our little bit of Wales coloured in a rather putrid shade of blue.
Every single one (inc the yougov so called outlier!!).
#justsaying
Just want to express my thanks to a fantastic @plaid_pbm team for an exceptionally hard-fought election campaign. Extraordinary levels of commitment.
Arddechog!
Vote @Plaid_Cymru tomorrow and let us get to work, for Wales.
New polling for Wales from @Moreincommon_
Plaid and Reform neck and neck.
There is a lot of interesting stuff here.
Full breakdown, including the seats where each party is doing best, in my newsletter (see pinned tweet).
@DanWalesReform@RUKWales If 50 newly elected MS support a reform FM in Wales..fine. That's democracy....but to moan that reform might not get to form a gov and have the FM, if they only hold a minority of seats fails to understand PR/democracy...has no one explained that to you?
Don't say this often.
Definitely don't say this often enough.
But the @Plaid_Cymru team working every day in Pen Y Bont Bro Morgannwg to deliver new leadership for Wales and kick Reform into the long grass are simply awesome.
Diolch pawb.
🤯 It can take 6 hours to travel across Wales by rail
Meanwhile, in England, billions are being spent on huge railway projects that Wales is effectively paying for and getting nothing in return
A Plaid Cymru government will fight for the money we are owed from Westminster 🏴
Reform boycotting BBC Senedd debate.
> Failure to pick Welsh leader/candidates now looks more like incompetence than some clever ploy. Clear talent problem.
> V. aggro stance re BBC (see also scoffing at idea they'd discuss policy on Radio Cymru) a symptom of being too online.
This is bullshit. Cost of extra Senedd members and staff is £12m per year. And for that we get far more scrutiny of what is now a law making institution we could be proud of once Labour are out of power.
Big implications for the future of Welsh devo if Ref top the national vote (even if they won't be able to form a government). Seems to me like the best reason for pro-devo, non-Plaid voters to vote tactically.
Glad to stand alongside my pal and colleague @markjhooper
Together we can build a Cymru that works for all those who make it home.
Join us, @Plaid_Cymru and let’s turn hope into reality.
The Plaid lead is deserved, it will probably grow as we approach the elections as more and more people realise that other parties have febrile and incomplete platforms upon which to campaign, whilst some have barely any platform to speak of✍️Gwern Gwynfil https://t.co/70s8qLdAUI
Blair is a liar. We voted overwhelmingly for more powers in 2011 & would do so again. Powers over crown estates, rail, justice, policing & broadcasting. Only problem is UK Labour don't trust their own Welsh party with those powers & don't want any other party to get hands in em
Reform's silent Barry councillor, Brandon Dodd gets a dishonourable on this. He could have stopped the greenfield development in his ward had he turned up to the last council meeting - but, he didn't....
Worth waiting until the end.
