🚨 GEN Z PROTESTS HIT 12 EUROPEAN COUNTRIES IN 48 HOURS. HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED TO EACH:

🇬🇷 Greece — about 10,000 MARCHED through Athens: "From Greece to France, we want public, free education"
🇬🇷 Greece — students CAMPED outside Parliament, marches in Thessaloniki, Patras and Larissa
🇦🇱 Albania — government buildings and banks set ON FIRE, tear gas and water cannon for an 8th straight day
🇫🇷 France — Paris police BANNED today's student march, Lyon banned its marches too
🇫🇷 Marseille — a CURFEW on minors every night until Friday
🇮🇹 Italy — Meloni's EMERGENCY decree lowers the presumed age of criminal responsibility to 14 (Irish Times)
🇮🇹 Italy — Naples' Federico II university OCCUPIED, 10+ Florence high schools taken over
🇵🇹 Portugal — police CLEARED the Lisbon and Porto camps, 55 arrested (home prices more than doubled since 2017)
🇪🇸 Spain — Madrid teachers on strike 6 days, Ayuso's government REFUSES to negotiate
🇧🇪 Belgium — 250+ ARRESTED at Brussels youth protests in two weeks
🇦🇹 Austria — Vienna students MARCH today against a 10% university cut
🇩🇪 Germany — Gen Z protests called in 21 cities
🇨🇭 Switzerland — student groups call a national strike
🇷🇸 Serbia — students run for power on Sunday
🇮🇪 Ireland — Cork student housing protests "far from done"

AFTERMATH:
550,000 marched in France in ONE DAY last weekend
2,400+ arrested in France that same weekend
295 injured in Albania (63% of them police)
Rallies planned across 50 Greek cities
12 countries in revolt in 48 hours

Europe's governments bet on curfews, bans and tear gas.
Gen Z made sure the next country over joined in.

This is not a one-country protest.
This is the beginning of something much bigger.

I joined @RepKamlagerDove and my Southern California colleagues on a tour of the LA County Ballot Processing Center to see firsthand the process to fairly and securely count every vote.

I’m grateful for our election workers who are working tirelessly to facilitate our free and fair election and are making sure your ballot counts.

A Baltimore librarian quit her full-time job after kids on her stoop told her they didn’t have a single book at home. Now Storybook Maze runs a green-and-gold trolley that gives free books to 50 to 130 readers a day. Her goal is 500,000 books in five years.
