@KnowingOurRts workshops continued last week with Prof Giannoulopoulos’ visit to @Vynersschool in west London.

We are v thankful to the school for enabling our Head of Dept to address over 200 students in Years 12 -13 in two separate workshops with all students in each yr group.

Just back from Strasbourg, where, w/ 21 of our students, we attended Grand Chamber hearing at @ECHR_CEDH and went on @coe visit highlighting multilayered, critical work eg on migration.

“Rule 39”/Interim measures a problem for the UK? No, nothing could be further from the truth. Only 1/ONE was granted vs the UK, out of 63 requests! Only in the populist imagination of the right wing in Conservative Govt r39 & ECHR more generally are a problem.

Just delivered a workshop on ECHR & Rwanda to 16-17 year old students in London. **Not a *single one** was with the Govt on this.

Right wing had fed the electorate xenophobia and disinformation on European human rights for as long as I can remember.

Can teachers with “civil servant” status go on strike? No, replied the Federal Constitutional Court in 🇩🇪, and the case was examined by the Grand Chamber today.
We were there with 22 of our @GoldsmithsLaw students.
Remarkably, applicants referred to teachers’ strikes in UK twice.
