@ChasePitzer@GriffinWB @MyNameIsNurf @seconddinner +1 what Chase said - another art issue is the complete lack of cohesiveness - previously a specific crackle color might not perfectly "match" the card art. Now there is a ridiculous amount of various effect/background combos that aggressively clash and are displeasing to the eye
Young dudes have always gone through stupid edgelordy phases but what's changed in my lifetime is there's now a massive ecosystem including a whole political party telling them it's their god-given right to never grow out of it
Here’s the Infinite post:
80s:
🫥🏄♂️ @Benjamin_Roller’s Surfer-less Surfer
🥰🥰 Snap Lore’s Love Me Two Times (Nightcrawler ➡️ Squirrel Girl)
90s:
🗡️🌈 @knownasbones’s Patriot/Valk
Valk feels so good right now. Be intentional w/ prio. Mysterio also cool in Debrii’s spot.
you don't fucking need chatGPT. you just need to know how to look up synonyms and correct words/phrases. it's never too late to re-teach yourself how to write. use your your brain. use the internet (the parts that don't steal/ravage the earth). believe in yourself. grow up
It's so cool how everything from prescription drugs to McDonald's to frozen waffles is contaminated now. It's almost like government regulations were the only thing keeping manufacturers from cutting costs and poisoning us.
i’m mad that everything about the internet that was fun & useful 10 years ago is broken now. this site, obviously. reviews are astroturf lies. search is ai hallucination. no place to share with friends & family without influencer / meme / polarized content overrunning the feed.
speaking as the artist who designed Young Liz for Bioshock Infinite, I love to see an article promising a bold new future where she could just look like someone’s half-assed cosplay instead
My friends and I went to the theater 4 nights in a row when this first premiered, I had a 480p torrent copy on a USB drive in college then lost it, then later bought a bluray that turned out to be region locked to the UK so I couldn't play it. So excited to watch this one again
In a major coup, MUBI - a streaming service that's Criterion for people who think Criterion is too mainstream - has acquired & restored Tarsem's brilliant THE FALL, *available today*. A criminally underseen masterpiece, this movie has been hard to find for YEARS. Fucking LOVE it!
Been on the internet since 1999 and it’s never been this bad. Google is useless, once findable information is deleted or buried. Wanton cruelty and sadism used to be contained to places like 4chan now it’s every social media site. Ubiquitous AI imagery is deeply unpleasant to see
I think if more people knew the artists for variants didnt get any residual money at all for sales it would decrease sales, and I think if they explicitly said a % went to the artist sales would go up. People like to support the artist and it sucks they dont get anything.
