All teens go through rough phases whether it’s home life, with friends, self esteem etc., it’s important to discuss and encourage teens to have healthy coping activities to turn to when things aren’t going smoothly. #knowthetruthmn
Recently a student at one of our Youth Peer Support Groups said, “I enjoy going to school again because of the group.”
She went on to say that she loves encouraging others and being able to have a support system.

We're super proud to announce that Jesse Kaplan, CPRS, and Know The Truth Youth Peer Support Provider has been selected as a new Minnesota Certification Board Member!! Congrats Jesse!!
We know what happens when you turn to substances to cope with mental, emotional, or physical struggles - it typically makes things worse!! We’re encouraging students to develop positive, healthy coping skills that can help them through tough times.
Today we are honoring and remembering Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and reflecting on the wisdom he imparted. Doing the right thing is often very challenging, but it is always worth it. #MLKDay2022

We share this statistic with students often as it’s important for them to know that they are in the majority by choosing not to use - their number one reason for not using? It would prevent them from achieving school and career goals. We love to see it!
We’ve teamed up with the Stand Up 4 U coalition to host a community education event in Little Falls. Join us as we go over current youth drug trends, share stories of recovery, discuss how to have the drug and alcohol conversation with youth and more!
We offer students a free anonymous text line as a resource to utilize if they have questions about substance use, need support, or coaching on how to talk to a friend that they’re worried about. Actual KTT staff members respond within 24 hours! TEXT: 612-440-3967
Tis’ the season for events and parties! We’re encouraging teens to consider what they would do if they ended up using alcohol or drugs at a party and reminding them that the consequences they might face from their parents picking them up are far less than if they got a DWI.
Sadie’s life changed forever when she was hit by a drunk driver at age 10. “Between Uber, Lyft, family and friends, there really is no reason to drive under the influence.” -Sadie
According to our recent focus groups, 100% of students said it wouldn’t bother them if their friend vaped, used e-cigarettes or marijuana as long as it didn’t interfere with their friendship or life in a negative way. We need to do better. Using substances will impact their life
At KTT we value partnership and collaboration. Our ability to make the greatest impact occurs when we work as a team to achieve our common goal. Jessie is out at Champlin Park HS today with @hazldnbettyford to provide resources to students during lunch!
