“At a time when our cathedrals of higher education, especially the most elite, have devolved into bastions of anti-American and anti-Israel fueled confusion, yeshiva education stands in sharp relief.”

Telling Its Own Story: @KnowUs_ Billboard Campaign Celebrates Jewish Education
It is high time that New York, the state home to more Jews than other state in the country, joined the majority of states and countless countries, entities, and government agencies that have already embraced this definition of antisemitism.

Pro-Hamas protestors storm an Agudah event at the DNC intended, in part, to bring awareness to the growing antisemitism against Orthodox Jews in America. Security called in. Jews present are harassed and intimidated, because...Jews.
The irony is breathtaking.
Today, Pro-Hamas protestors stormed Agudah’s event at the DNC. That these agitators disrupted an event intended to bring awareness to the growing antisemitism against Orthodox Jews in America shows the importance of the event.
NYPD reports 30 antisemitic incidents last month, a 200% increase over the same period last year, and, as usual, more than all hate crimes against all other groups combined

"Our country, and the minds of its future leaders, deserve an education that teaches nobility in addition to resumé utility. We need to unmask the hate by inculcating reason and respect over victimhood and violence. If there’s a school system that has been failing its students on what matters most, it isn’t yeshivas."
Must-read opinion column by Avrohom Weinstock describing education in a post Oct 7th world in the Washington Times.
My timeline shows numerous videos of American flags being mistreated and even burned by Hamas supporters on college campuses.
Contrast those scenes with the billboard I saw on a highway today in Queens, NY.
Patriotism is one of the many values found in a Yeshiva education. 🇺🇸
In 2012, over 40,000 Orthodox Jews gathered in Citi Field to sound the alarm on the potential dangers of the new technology. They were ridiculed. Now, in 2024, the world is waking up to technology's disastrous results.

“While some may wish to put aside the tension and despondency of world events for a weekend that is supposed to be about celebration, many have committed extra prayer and good deeds this Purim…as a merit for the release of the hostages."

Avrohom Weinstock spoke to @NY1 about the impact the war in Gaza will have on Purim.
The Orthodox Jewish community in America has so much to be proud of and so much to be thankful for.

KnowUs, an initiative of @AgudahNews, sent a 7-page letter to @JeffBezos, demonstrating how numerous hateful, pro-Palestinian merchandise sold on its platform violate Amazon’s seller policies. Amongst Agudah’s many fronts assisting and defending Israel in this pivotal moment must be the firm statement that while there will always be evil in this world, terrorism and Jew-hatred can never become socially acceptable. Not on college campuses. Not on the streets. And not by the largest online retailer in the world. https://t.co/sjAQcMmKD2
If she's writing about it, it means few are covering it, the issue is important, and an incisive piece about it is at your disposal.
Miss a @slowhoneybee piece at your own peril.
Empowering the government to micromanage nonpublic education would homogenize all schools, and there would be no escaping the dominant educational culture. | @slowhoneybee https://t.co/Sjmw8Kksra
In NY this is not the paradigm. Because it is part of the compulsory education section of the law, the state inspects and determines if a private school is equivalent to public schools even if the school conscientiously abstains from taking a dime from government. In other words, shackles even if no shekels. May be different in other states.
“Yeshiva parents know they face hostile forces, eager to overhaul their way of life. But other Americans with unfashionable values should consider this campaign against yeshivas a warning.”

A well-researched, hard hitting piece from @slowhoneybee in @NRO
I’m back with a third article on New York’s Hasidic yeshivas. This time I looked at what happens when education bureaucrats are empowered to judge religious schools. https://t.co/LGI9tadogi
The people responsible for pandemic-related school closures and learning loss in NYC are also judging the education at NYC’s Hasidic yeshivas. My latest on the problems with those evaluations—https://t.co/LGI9tadogi
