it's that time again... when people who've never set foot in the South are suddenly experts on it. go become an expert on gerrymandering, voter suppression, talk to some organizers & help them raise funds before you say that a *very* diverse swath of the country "deserves" this.
We make reading an awful tedious chore in school & then act surprised people don't read as adults. The classics are partially to blame, but so is the refusal to accept most MG, YA, graphic novels as valid ways to enhance literacy skills.
