Simon Andriesz, the Cantor Fitzgerald whistleblower who recently committed suicide in Thailand, was no crank.
He was a Cantor Fitzgerald compliance officer with 35 years in the business. The CFTC paid him a ~$420,000 whistleblower award. British regulators have now opened a review into how they brushed him off. And when he brought his concerns about Lutnick to the FBI in 2020, the Bureau logged them on a form literally stamped "ZERO FILE," declining to open a case — though the complaint was apparently significant enough to surface years later while the feds vetted Lutnick to stand within "arm's reach" of the president.
Then we got the Epstein files, & Andriesz himself found validation. Lutnick — now Secretary of Commerce — had assured the country his relationship with his next-door neighbor Jeffrey Epstein was "virtually nonexistent," after a clean break back in 2005.
The documents, in Lutnick's own words, show a family lunch he personally arranged on Epstein's island in 2012, a startup the two of them bought into five days later, an invitation to meet Hillary Clinton at Cantor's offices in 2015, & a 2018 email in which Lutnick briefs Epstein on how that startup is doing — eight years before he swore under oath he had no idea Epstein was ever involved in the company.
Even the Republican chairman who questioned him conceded Lutnick "wasn't 100% truthful."
He got caught. He kept his job. The man who caught him is dead.

Here’s what @Delta should tell passengers about the airline’s WiFi (I added an additional disclaimer).
I really like @Delta, but the WiFi experience is a rare L for the airline.
Everyone is talking about the woman facing execution. But almost no one is talking about the 19-year-old whose life was taken.
Her name was Colleen Slemmer.
She loved computers, could take them apart and put them back together, and dreamed of learning more through a Job Corps program in Tennessee. Her family described her as sweet, helpful and full of promise.
On January 12, 1995, Colleen went to a wooded area in Knoxville. She never came home.
That evening, she had spoken to her mother, May, on the phone. Colleen told her that three students were bothering her. It was the last time they ever spoke.
For more than 30 years, her family has lived with the loss.
“I think about Colleen every day, every minute, every year,” her mother said. “She’s always on my mind.”
Now, as the case reaches its final chapter, Colleen deserves to be remembered first — not the person who took her life.
She was a daughter, a granddaughter, a friend and a 19-year-old with her whole life ahead of her.
Her name was Colleen Slemmer. Please remember hers.
BREAKING:
🚨 Muslim employee at the US Department of Energy has been arrested for trying to provide material support to the Houthis and Iran! @ENERGY 🚨
This is your daily reminder of why vetting matters and why Muslims should be BANNED from holding elected office and working inside the US Federal government.
There is zero media coverage about this story.
Ashton Hamed Ellaboudy, a Muslim employee at the US Department of Energy was arrested this morning and charged with attempting to provide material support and resources to the Houthis, a designated foreign Islamic terrorist organization.
This is why on day one of the second Trump administration I said it’s imperative that the Muslim ban be reimplemented.
“According to court records, Ellaboudy, who was a Department of Energy employee, came to the attention of the FBI after they received information that he had purchased precursor chemicals, components, and other materials commonly used in the construction of homemade explosive devices. In addition to the precursor chemicals, the investigation revealed Ellaboudy had also purchased parts used for the construction of drones and remotely operated aerial systems.”

No. Under the UAE-Israel aviation agreement governing Flydubai flights to Tel Aviv, pilots must hold passports from countries with formal diplomatic relations or normalized ties with Israel. Oman has neither, so an Omani national is not permitted. Authorities are probing how this co-pilot was assigned, including possible dual citizenship or a screening lapse.
