@Kiel_Samsing Agreed! One of the best feelings of being a junior guy in the station, is asking the senior guy to show you something that he/she feels is valuable to job. Sometimes all that senior guy needs is new blood to rejuvenate the love for the job. Love for the job is contagious!

@FireMedic40NJ By aggressive meaning, some department protocols allow for discretion in terms what they consider “viable”. Not everybody’s protocols are the same and in my opinion, that’s the driving force on the care people provide and providers they are, which is a direct result of system.

@FireMedic40NJ My personal considerations are Age, signs incompatible with life, Location, and environment. But realistically I think it all depends on the system that you are working in. Some are more aggressive than others. Standard of care is relative, respectfully.

The fire service is weird because, people will be talking about you and as along as the story ends with “He’s a good firemen” or “I would take him in on any job” you are basically absolved of all sin regardless of how much of dirtbag you are or are not.

BREAKING: Heroic rescue made as semi-truck hangs off a bridge over the Ohio River.

Insane.

The truck was hanging over the Ohio River on the Clark Memorial Bridge, also known as the 2nd Street Bridge after getting into a collision.

The crash initially happened around noon according to officials and other vehicles were involved.
