@curriculum_dps A5: Keeping to a schedule. I miss the routine of waking up, traveling to school, having interactions, and then going to a workout. I find that once I start work the hours fly by and it is the 5 o'clock already. My eyes are tired so tired. #dpschats
@curriculum_dps A3: This experience has led me to be a cheerleader for many. The effort and courage to reach outside comfort zones is inspiring! Teachers truly are amazing people!
@curriculum_dps A2: We are always checking in with each other, sending text filled with uplifting, encouragement to each other, and supporting each other with resources and information.
@curriculum_dps (A4) Making time seems to be the issue. I find that many are working through this issue by integrating curriculum. During planning it was hard to see all the connections which made it feel labor intensive, but over time it was time well spent.#dpschats
@brittanyy_hodge I agree. I good book discussion is truly an enriching experience. It would be great if we could come up with a way to have an online book club. #dpschats
@curriculum_dps (A3) To foster literacy it is important to put parents into the "KNOW" about all the free subscriptions that are available now. I feel that as an educator it is important to supply parents with this information and to encourage their babies to read. #dpschats
@curriculum_dps (A2) I always made sure that I have a variety of genres and reading levels. I would also feature a book every month by giving a good book trailer to entice the students to read. I would also share my adult reads with them. I am a fan of dystopian fiction. #dpschats
@curriculum_dps (A1) I don't have a classroom, but got the opportunity to read, The Rabbit Listens , to a student. It was a jumping off point so that he felt comfortable having me listen. It was a great moment.
