Two more Assistant Professors will be moving to UMN Chemistry in next year! Please join us in welcoming Dr. Melissa Ramirez (@mramirez9409) and Dr. Hannah Kenagy! #UMNProud https://t.co/C1v8Ywax0o
Ecstatic to share that I’ll be starting the Ramirez laboratory in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities this January 2025! 🧪 🧪 @UMNChemistry@UMNews
Byers Group is heading to #ASCSpring2024 next week to present research and share some stories about @j_a_byers Check out Connor, Eric, Kate, Kyle, and Sophia's posters on Sunday. On Tuesday Bill and Stephanie will be giving talks as part of the Jeffery Byers Memorial Symposium
Our paper on the mechanisms of protein thermal stabilization by osmolytes is out @nchembio. We found that osmolytes thermally stabilize many proteins in situ using various mechanisms (but there's a dominant one – read the paper to find out).

I was fired from UCLA 4 times in a year - a 🧵
When I started grad school I thought I just needed to find the right lab environment to thrive. However, despite having an amazing PI, the UCLA academic environment has presented many unforeseen barriers to pursuing my thesis
@katymgrubbs @YanXu00415589@PKU1898@Nature Also very proud of your achievements - this is one of the few times I got him to respond to my random emails, and he's using capital letters!
While we are on the subject of celebrating papers, I would like to take on my role as the former Grubbs lab PR person and congratulate the former postdoc @YanXu00415589 on his first publication at @PKU1898 in @Nature! Clever idea and excellent execution https://t.co/5nVLrlcSCG
