In five days, #IGAD, the Government of #Djibouti and partners will inaugurate major Regional Migration Fund investments in Ali-Sabieh and Ali-Addeh.
Backed by EUR 10 million, these investments are creating better places to learn, trade, access services and build livelihoods for host communities, refugees and migrants.

A new milestone has been reached in strengthening commercial infrastructure and local economic opportunities in Ali-Sabieh.
The handover ceremony for the new market was chaired by Mr. Charmarke Hassan Allaleh, President of the Ali-Sabieh Regional Council, and attended by Mr. Ibrahim Kasso, Project Operations Coordinator for the IGAD Regional Migration Fund (RMF), representing H.E. Amb. @meigague, Director of IGAD’s Health and Social Development Division.
A total of 116 commercial outlets were allocated: 72 in Ali-Sabieh and 44 in Ali-Addeh.
Supported by the #IGAD Regional Migration Fund (RMF), the initiative aims to strengthen local trade, support livelihoods, and create economic opportunities for communities.
Djibouti is one of the world's most strategic state. Its location at the confluence of Red Sea and Gulf of Aden makes it ideal spot for major powers vying for dominance in the Horn's waterways.
