This “fiddling”, includes turning it sideways. Javier then casts endurance. Fury is then “untapped”. likely why judge thought he said he was untapping / is in draw step.

and to be clear, i don’t think @Penseur_MTG was being malicious, but that’s not how the game should have been decided.

assuming an undefeated player in the finals of a 300+ person event made an illegal, unintuitive, and terrible play, and letting his opponent capitalize on a communication error should not happen. game could have easily been backed up.
