@f2harrell@FJavierRubio1@PavlosMsaouel Good point Frank. I think the objectivity here is on narrow and relative sense. It is more like lack of preference. But agreed. For human decision making everything is subjective including choosing a philosophy to believe in.
@DanMarkMD Variability is about the uncertainty on rx effect, which is different from random noise. The true treatment effect might be assumed to fixed but one may use probability models to describe the uncertainty of it. Bayesian stat makes your concern go away IMHO.
@ylecun@elonmusk Opinion and society are too complicated and please focus on things you are great at, science. The world evolves on its own way. Elon is Elon for a reason and he behaves based on his own logic. Treat him as an end when expressing your opinion, not a means.
