@puppyeh1 Genuine question, the general thinking is that semis are cycle. However, there is real structural demand that has fundamentally changed the landscape. Does that investment thesis hold, or do you think it’s commoditised so it’s cyclical?
@blueprintsmb22 Welcome to the new tax laws in Australia. Make more than $190k in a sale and you’re taxed at 47% (marginal inflation indexing but if yiu start from nothing that’s your tax rate on each dollar after $190k)
@blueprintsmb22 Yeah for example are grocery just figuring out how to eliminate plastic packaging? How?
Or shoes that come in a plastic bag, are shoe sales down massively? Nike stock has fallen, but I can’t see how demand has decreased for your product.
@pestctrlguy Running the numbers here. Assuming seasonality of 50% at this rate (don’t know) you’ll do $1.8m in d2d plus churn of $300k a year. Can you keep this up for 5 years and end up with adding on $7.5m in revenue over 5 years? Assume year 5 is at least double, you’ll look at $12m?
@pestctrlguy Been following for a while. Do you have a price in mind you’ll sell for? If you can get 8x edbitda today vs 4x ebitda in a couple years worth it to sell today?
@matt_barrie What’s the average cost of freight to value of freight? 1:10, 1:50? Eg a 40% increase at 1:10 may be a 4% increase to the consumer who’s buying?
Is the risk actually cost increases or running out?
@jamesclift Durable
Flood alert.
Provides alerts of floods in your area based on government data (especially useful in Aus). Emergency volunteers will pay based on alerts within their 10km zone
@TheSalonDon There is an exception in this case, you have to consider how the annuity is handled in terms of bankruptcy / stopping risk. If it only lasts 20 years because MrBeast folds or any other reason then goodbye annuity. Take the 5m, reinvest it, have peace of mind
