@CotRPodcast Playing through those two boxes was the only time I felt like not having fun with this game. I do appreciate them in a historical context - you can see certain design elements coming up refined in later releases.
@sjbrown97@ModusCreate Hey, thanks for reaching out! In the mean time, we filled the roles for my team but if you're interested in general please check our careers page - there are multiple position open at the moment: https://t.co/LDdjGW2Oc5
@mpocock1@DavidKPiano That's the bit from @DavidKPiano article which I really enjoyed: https://t.co/JcEn979I1F
It actually got me thinking about trying xstate out, since it was laid out so well. Effects are a great way of specifying complex flows, really helps!
Finally got my blog post about using state machines (xstate in particular) in production published: https://t.co/1wWloABgJG
@DavidKPiano@mpocock1 I'd appreciate if you could take a look :)
#React#xstate
Implementing #statemachines into your #softwaredevelopment processes helps codify business rules and gives developers control over application state. But, they can be challenging to manage at scale. Evaluate if state machines are right for you with insights from Modus team.
@mpocock1@monsieurBoutte@kyleshevlin IMO there's a whole lot of folks introducing state management libraries to apps with limited user interactions. No wonder they would consider that as "overkill" since there are no state changes to be managed.
@DavidKPiano@mpocock1 I'll definitely look into that! What community (github issues, reddit, ...) do you recommend to discuss various implementation ideas? I'd like to share what we learned but also evaluate our approach by talking to people with more experience
@DavidKPiano@mpocock1 Thanks! Exactly, scaling became a bit challenging when we moved from smaller, independent machines to a large machine with nested states. It was a win, but hardly fought 😅
@Folded__Space I was hoping to get at least the new spirit panels in. Maybe by storing all the rulebooks somewhere else? Most of the tokens are duplicates and there's more than enough room for new cards in the current insert.
Hey @Folded__Space! Do you have any suggestions on how to reuse your insert for Spirit Island now that Jagged Earth is being released? I love the insert and I'd like to somehow fit the new spirit panels there as well.
@DurinsFather Yes! Rohan finally got its wheels with Lothiriel and Horn of the Mark. Love the symmetry with Tactics Prince Imrahil, these two decks were really fun to play:
