Vozinha will get the headlines, but what a performance that was from Lopes at the back. 🧱

There are so many memories we have of Brian with us going to Rovers over the years.
He first brought me to Milltown for the 83/84 season. Memory of my first game is patchy but the best memory I have is going to see us play and beat arsenal in 87. Noel Larkin with the goal to beat them. He passed away in '97 so with the move from Milltown to Tolka and onwards to RDS and other grounds he stopped going to as many games as he would like. But his love for Rovers passed on to us and onto my daughter Caoimhe. Rovers is huge in our family as we also have my cousins Paul and Kevin subsequently coming along when their Dad Colm, my Dad’s brother brought them.

We host our Memorial Day fixture on Friday night, with the Club remembering those who have passed in advance of kick off 💚
@Johntheladsge@11RIERA11 Called my club a small time outfit after we beat Celjie (they had a much larger budget) and then questioned the ambition of our manager who had to stay in Ireland as his son was sick with cancer.
He’s a scumbag, an absolute waster and mercenary. Fraud as well
45 games - Olimpija Ljubljana (4 European)
109 games - NK Celje (39 European)
32 games - Girondins Bordeaux
14 games - Eintracht Frankfurt
Reached a round number of 200 games with four clubs (43 of them European)
Winning more than half (107)
And 3 trophies 🏆
To be continued…
@themilltownway@GMKphoto1962@mcdermott951 Also to mention that they had the full support of the GAA. Rovers against everything GAA, wouldn’t piss on them if they were on fire
@Robkdub@alancaw Was there tonight in the west stand, we gave them a lot of the ball but bar that peno and that scramble, thought bohs didn’t offer much.
