Been there, done that. Nothing is impossible. life! does it make any sense ⏱️. Arsenal FC, cycling, cricket, finance and crap, loads of it😜. Anti-politics!
@chami9539 When a state is genuinely concerned about an incident/act, it possesses the ultimate power to uncover the truth, regardless of the obstacles in its way. However, executing this requires two important elements: the will and the power. In this case, the state lacks the latter.
@HRPasindu@Whisperer2024 Sri Lanka has low taxes. Getting the taxes right with a reasonable social contract (tangible & intangible)is a must. The state cannot invest without funds. No natural resources that can earn money. Energy dependency. Current account surplus is a must for about 10 to 15yrs to inv.
The profile says it's analysing Sri Lanka's economy. That's some analysis.
One who knows his/her arse from elbow 😎.
If the economy gets handled like this analysis, we are truly doomed—even Uncle Ranil's magic wand won't save us. 🤷♂️
Some JVP-backed and LTTE diaspora-funded X accounts are asking: "Are we not worried about the Easter attack victims?"
We are. 278 people were murdered on Easter Sunday 2019. Children. Worshippers. Tourists. Their families have waited seven years for justice. They deserve the full truth and real accountability.
But here is what those families are actually asking for. Not torture in a CID cell. Not 100+ days of detention without charges. Not strip searches and forced starvation. They are asking for a fair, transparent, and credible trial that follows the evidence wherever it leads.
The victims' own advocacy groups have explicitly called for trials that "uphold the rights of both victims and accused persons." Because they understand something the trolls do not: a conviction obtained through torture is worthless. It gets thrown out on appeal. It discredits the entire prosecution. And the real perpetrators walk free.
If Suresh Sallay masterminded the Easter attacks, prove it in court. With evidence. Under cross-examination. Before judges. That is justice.
Torturing a man on a cell floor for 100 days, denying him medical care, and forcing him to eat spoiled food off the ground is not justice for anyone. It is not justice for the 278 who died. It is not justice for their families. It is abuse. And abuse does not become acceptable because the accused is unpopular.

@CassilingamG@DrSatyanjal Some photos you look at and say yes that makes sense cause of this , this and this. Then there are other times you look, there are more questions than answers. Here's one of those.
Is this really the state of play? I mean .......
@NewsWireLK Wow...
Regardless of religion or the subject matter they are protesting, when religious leaders (priests, monks ...) come out to protest against the judiciary , you know that country is going nowhere fast.
Sri Lanka needs a dictatorial rule to rid this. Not Gota type though.
India’s $5+ trillion economy by 2027 will be the 3rd largest in the world, and by 2030 a $1 trillion dollar digital economy. That digital economy is growing two times faster than any other sector in the country.
@ambikasat Under the Gota regime, didn't they arrest a woman under PTA for wearing a kaftan or something, with a printed ship wheel? The ruling governments change, however, the application of PTA carrying on as nothing has changed.
@rangaba#NPP better get this right, otherwise every single one of them will be put through the meat grinder if Sallay gets out of this. I hate to think....
