Keep this post in your back pocket for when you face a big (or small) decision.
Save it so you can come back to it. Wisdom is in the questions you ask yourself.
A problem unaddressed/unresolved becomes a pattern. Patterns become DNA…how one is. DNA becomes identity. Soon, the person (or company) is no longer the “one who performed poorly on that event/task/project. They become known as the “one who performs poorly.” It is now identity.
Safe people help us do three things:
1. Become more of who we are designed to be, not less.
2. Feel better about relationships and love and connecting with others, not worse.
3. Get closer to God.
Remember that a lot of life is contagious. We pretty much become like the people we hang around, long term. “Show me a person’s friends, and I’ll show you his future.” Choose wisely!!!
Instead of closing our eyes and bowing our heads, sometimes God wants us to keep our eyes open for people in need, do something about it, and bow our whole lives to Him instead.

I’m always amazed by the disconnect between what we see in the news and the reality of the world around us. As my late friend Hans Rosling would say, we must fight the fear instinct that distorts our perspective: https://t.co/uQRofM4q2u
