This small kitten gathered every bit of strength it had and tried to threaten its torturer with its tiny body.
It was likely the only defense it knew — an instinct its mother may have taught it to survive danger.

But in the end, the kitten could do nothing but tremble.

Because of a disgraceful pile of rotting garbage that shames China, cats in the country are being subjected to acts of extreme cruelty and torture.

In terms of animal welfare, China is being left behind by the modern world. In many ways, it still remains in a primitive stage.

China needs a law that clearly prohibits animal abuse.
