fic writing is looking up the definition to words you've known since you could read just in case merriam or webster decided to change something while you were having dinner
“everyone can write”
no everyone can’t write. this is why ppl feel entitled to being called writers/authors. yes writing is accessible in the sense that it requires very little upfront cost for materials, but it is still a skill not everyone has or will have
BREAKING: Two people have climbed to the top of the Empire State Building in New York City, holding a banner from the skyscraper's antenna reading, "When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace."
As of now it's unclear how the pair reached the top of the building as police work to get them down from the spire, 1,454 feet above the ground.
bad day to be a fic writer with ocd because my brain in a loop of: ok you didn’t use ai but what if somehow it snuck in there and you didn’t know and maybe you actually do use it all the time and you just forgot and you’re actually evil and everyone wants you to die then what 🥸
I will not be subtle about this - generative AI is both killing the planet and trained off of human work, stealing their original ideas and style without their consent.
It has NO place in creative spaces, even for “small” things like spellcheck and translation.
Using AI to write fic is crazy because half the fun is staring at your screen for seven hours and crying because you can’t figure out how to write a single line
